Biography

Stephen Misak received a B.S. in Engineering Physics and with a minor in Optical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2017, and is currently working towards a PhD. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California Santa Barbara with Prof. Clint Schow. ​His research focuses on component design for coherent photonic integrated circuits (PICs) on InP and Silicon photonics platforms, InP PIC fabrication, and optical characterization of lasers and PICs.
