Neal Solmeyer

Biography

Dr. Neal Solmeyer is an Advanced Scientist within the Honeywell Aerospace Advanced Technology (AT) organization. He has a Ph.D. from Penn State where he worked on a precision measurement of the electron dipole moment using ultra cold atoms in optical lattices. As a post-doc and then staff at the Army Research Lab he built, from scratch, an experimental system to look at using Rydberg excitations in ultra-cold atoms in optical lattices for quantum communication. At Honeywell he has contributed to various programs including atomic clocks and is the PI of projects on magnetometry using NV diamonds and electrometry using Rydberg excitations in atomic vapor.
